About Regional Co-ordination Council - 2007

The first meeting of RCC-2007 took place on November, 19th in Kiev, Ukraine during the 3rd Regional Youth Forum (2006) in framework of Cross-border Youth Cooperation and Integration Programme. The main topics of this meeting were defining our mission, goals and functions and development of joint youth initiatives in 2007. It was agreed upon to draft a RCC Statutes clarifying its aims, objectives, structure and functions of its members. We distributed assignments for the next RCC Meeting, noted the importance of maintaining regular communications between RCC members. We also agreed upon regular information exchange on youth activities and actions taking place in BMU-region in 2007, and on looking for possibilities for carrying out joint initiatives and fundraising for new projects in 2007.

So far there were also two other meetings of RCC-2007 - 16-17.12.2006 in Kiev (Ukraine) and 24-25.02.2007 in Lviv (Ukraine) as well as working meeting during summer camp in Belarus. The main topic were evaluation of what have been done, monitoring of current events and better communication issues. The last meeting of RCC-2007 will be held at 4th Regional Youth Forum in Minsk in November 2007.

The RCC is very much interested in establishing communication and developing cooperation with the European Co-ordination Committee and other European networks in order to share knowledge about progress of youth work, learn about new initiatives and promoting the image of RC/RC Youth in order to increase the involvement of youth within the Red Cross. The RCC would appreciate for any assistance in establishing links with other RC/RC youth networks and share with us your experience, ideas and plans.
